Puducherry bowlers’ tough fight falls short against Rajasthan

Put into bat by Rajasthan in the Senior Women’s T-20 League, played at CAP-Siechem Ground, Puducherry felt the need of an aggressive innings as the runs were not easy to come by. The skipper Anagha was the lone fighter, who scored 42 off 62 balls to stabilize the inning at one end; but the going was not smooth at the other end. The no.5 batter, Gouher scored a quick fire 21 off 16 balls, which was not sufficient. Puducherry scored 98 for 5 off 20 overs. For Rajasthan S.S.Kalal took 2 for 13.

Chasing a small target of 99, Rajasthan batsmen played relaxed innings and with a good opening partnership of 25 runs, it was easy for the rest to score easily. Rajasthan scored 99 for 5 off 18.4 overs to win the match by 5 wickets.
