Puducherry U-19 Women loses to Uttarakhand

In the league and knockout tournament for Women U-19 match played at Abhimanyu Cricket Academy, Dehradun, the Uttarakhand Women gorgeously won against Puducherry.

Once again after winning the toss, Puducherry opted to bowl first against Uttarakhand, which back fired and the opponents seized the opportunity of scoring easily. Raghvi scored run a ball century and remained unbeaten on 168 scored off 167 balls with 18 fours and Jyoti Giri scored 44 off 76 balls as Uttarakhand scored a healthy 282 for 5 off 50 overs. For Puducherry, Sumi Dutta took 2 for 51 off 10 overs and Yuvashri 2 for 29 off 4 overs.

With a target of 283 for a win, Puducherry started disastrously with Divya Shanmugam out for naught and only Ananya Halder scored a moderate 23 off 82 balls and with the extras being the top scorer, without any resistance, Puducherry was all out for 97 off 47 overs. Uttarakhand bowlers Pooja Raj took 2 for 17, while the skipper Radha Chand took 2 for 11 and Dimpal Kandari took 2 for 18.
