Pondicherry Womens U-19 Team displayed one of the best team performances in the Womens U-19 One Day Trophy clash against Goa, played at Lady Amritbai Daga College Ground, Nagpur.

After the fall of opener Anjana off the very first ball of the match, No.3 batter Yuvashri and Roshini were on cloud nine with 149 run partnership for the second wicket, which led Pondicherry to post a very healthy total after being put into bat.

Continuing her good run with the bat, No.3 batter Roshini was at her best against Goa attack as she went on to score her first century of the season 2021-22. While scoring her century Roshini displayed the responsibility she had on her shoulders by rotating the strike, having faith in her partner Yuvashri, who is also known for building an inning. Roshini went on to remain unbeaten on 106 (152 balls with 16 four with a strike rate of 69.74, while Yuvashri scored 72 off 104 balls with 11 fours at a strike rate of 69.23. With a good contribution from Amruta Saran (13 runs) and A.Kavisha (28 runs), Pondicherry posted 233 for 3 off 50 overs.

Defending the total of 233, Pondicherry bowler Amruta Saran ran through the opponent sounding to Roshini and Yuvashri that after their batting display, it was her turn in the bowling department. Having been brought into attack as fourth bowler to be put into the attack, Amruta Saran troubled every batter of Goa team and returned with figures of 8 for 19 ( 9.5-4-19-8), leading Pondicherry to victory by a margin of 135 runs and to earn 4 points.
