Vinoo Mankad Trophy 2019-20 : CAP Vs Meghalaya (SLIMS Cricket Ground)

Pondicherry restricted the opponent Meghalaya to a moderate score of 129 all out after the opponent chose to bat first in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy match played at SLIMS Cricket Ground, Puducherry.
After removing the Meghalaya opener Chirag for 9 in the 16th over, there was a small partnership of 39 runs for the second wicket between the other opener Swastic, who scored 38 off 71 balls and Divyanshi Rajput (34 off 53 balls), but for Amankumar (27 off 42 balls), there was no defence from Meghalaya. For Pondicherry, Nithish Kumar took 4 for 38 off 8 overs and Vinay Pratap Singh took 2 for 19 off 8.1 overs.
Aryan Bangar’s half century:
In reply to Meghalaya’s 129, Pondicherry opener Aryan Bangar scored a patient 51 off 73 balls with 5 fours and one six, with good support from Shreeraj who scored 36 off 44 balls. With Arbaaz Uddin and Shakeer remaining not out for 15 and 8 respectively, Pondicherry reached 133 for 3 off 34.5 overs to win the match by 7 wickets. For Meghalaya, skipper Aryan took 3 for 22 off 10 overs. With this win, Pondicherry remains at the top of the points table.
