Womens Senior T20 Trophy 2019-20 : CAP Vs Karnataka (BKC Ground)

Put into bat first, Pondicherry senior women started with over cautious approach and put themselves into poor score of 80 for 6 off 20 overs in the first match against Karnataka in the Womens Senior T20 Trophy, played at BKC Ground, Mumbai. Till the fall of first wicket, the going was good at more than 4 runs an over and when Tamore, who started sedately, departed it was 26 for 1 off overs. However, the innings of Sandya Mounika, who could not find touch and was eventually run out for 13 off 33 balls, pulled the run rate down and Pondicherry could not stage any recovery as they could only finish with the score 80 for 6 off 20 overs.
In reply, Karnataka women scored at a very brisk rate of 9.46 and finished the match with the score 82 for 2 off 8.4 overs, with opener G.Divya scoring 43 off 27 balls with eight fours and V.R.Vanitha scoring 21 off 13 balls with five fours.
