Cooch Behar Trophy 2019-20 : Pondicherry Vs Manipur (JU Second Campus, Salt Lake)

The innings victory of Pondicherry against Manipur in the Cooch Behar Trophy match played at Kolkata was well scripted by the double century of Shreeraj, who played a brilliant and dominating innings in reply to Manipurs’ first innings score of 155 all out.
One man domination by Shreeraj
When the top order is just playing a lukewarm game and a big partnership is hard to come by, Shreeraj played an innings that simply needed only a partner at the other end as he scored at a brisk pace with a strike rate of 85.55, to take the team to beyond safety and to ensure a win with a score of 225 off 263 balls with 28 boundaries and two sixes, when only the no.4 four batsman Aryan Bangar scored a noticeable score of 45 off 78balls, which helped Pondicherry post a total of 376 in the first innings.
Earlier, in the first innings of Manipur, Suresh Singh played a patient innings to score 47 off 152 balls and the skipper Bidas scored a valuable 43 off 79 balls. Pondicherry bowler Aryan Bangar took 3 for 34 while Pooviarasan and Rajaram took two wickets each.
Resuming the second innings with a deficit of 221 runs, Manipur was never in comfort as they lost wickets quickly and were bundled out for 137 in their second innings; handing an innings victory to Pondicherry. Arbaaz Uddin took 3 for 28 with the support of Aryan Bangar, Rajaram and Pooviarasan lending good support by taking two wickets each. Aryan Bangar as a tally of 5 wickets in the match.
