“The new born baby puducherry reached the mountain’s peak, but……”
While running to reach the peak of the plate group, with no other team to come closer among the nine teams in the Plate group, having won the match by 5 wickets and with this victory, the new born state Puducherry finishes the league stage only to feel the sarcasm of being tied on 28 points with Utharkhand, with a slender margin of 0.341 net run rate difference compared to it’s NRR of 1.548 against Utharkhand’s 1.889, and like a bitter pill struck in the throat, Puducherry stands No.2 in the points table for the year 2018-2019, which is a noteworthy and an excellent achievement in the first year of it’s recognition as a separate state, which is also a big morale booster not only for Senior Women’s Cricket Team of Puducherry but also for other teams of the state to strive hard to finish on top of the table in 2018-2019, which will have a good impact to begin the next season.
