The “task master” Paras Ratnaparkhe (with 203 runs in the second innings) and the “wrecker in chief” Sidak Singh (with 5 wicket haul in the second innings) were on cloud nine in the Col. C.K.Nayudu Trophy match against Mizoram played at Jalan Outdoor Stadium, Dibrugarh.
Resuming their second innings on the fourth day with the score at 81 for 5, instantaneously Mizoram were jolted by Arvind when he dismissed Parvez to rush Pudhcerry to the winning post with hardly any resistance from the visitors who were bundled for 138 in their second innings and Puducherry won the match with a huge margin of 302 runs. The “wrecker-in-chief” Sidak Singh returned with yet another five wicket haul (5 for 47 of 24 overs, with nine of which were maiden overs and an economy rate of 1.96) while Arravind took 2 for 19, Vengat and Akash Kargave took a wicket each. Sidak Singh has finished the match with 8 wickets to his kitty.

With this win, Puducherry stands at No.3 spot with a tally of 35 points in six matches in the points table for 2018-2019.
