With a huge first innings deficit and already in trouble in the second innings at stumps on the second day, Arunachal Pradesh progressed well with 81 run partnership for the third wicket when Md Bilal was out for 40 with the score at 94, but then onwards lost the direction to lose the match by an innings and 148 runs.
After the fall of third wicket, Shivender Sharma, who scored 43 off 65 balls with 8 fours, also back in the pavilion, the formality was completed with skipper Tsering Thapkey scoring 25 off 31 balls with 3 fours and one six and Hardik 22 off 19 deliveries with 3 fours and one six showed some semblance of trying to salvage some respect to the total. By dismissing Arunachal Pradesh for 187 off 54.4 overs in their second innings, Puducherry won by an innings and 148 runs to gain 7 points
In the second innings of Meghalaya also Aryan Bangar and Arbazz Uddin were among wickets with Nithishkumar also joining the party. Aryan Bangar took 3 for 30 off 15 overs to take his tally to 6 wickets in the match, while Arbazz Uddin took 4 for 31 off 10.4 overs; to take his tally to 11 wickets in the match and Nithishkumar took 2 for 37 off 10 overs.
