Having won the toss, Puducherry elected to bat first and lost the prominent scorer Kushboo Verma for a duck and Ramya Maharajan for 7 in the seventh over.

However, unperturbed by the fall of two wickets, opener Sandhya Mounika was going berserk against the Mizoram attack, batting on 23 when the second wicket fell and the no.4 batsman Payal Balmik joined her when the score was 59 for 2. After the hammering and a huge total posted by Puducherry, with a target of 182 runs for a win, Mizoram imploded and crumbled for a meagre total of 31 for 9 off 20 overs. For Puducherry, Kushboo Verma took 3 for 4 overs with 22 dot balls with an economy rate of 1.25, while Payal Balmik took 2 for 1 off 4 overs with 24 dot balls and an economy rate of 0.25 and Soundarya took 2 for 7 off 4 overs with 23 dot balls, with the support of Rebecca and Moumee Sasmal taking a wicket each.
Puducherry won the match comprehensively by a massive 150 runs and gained 4 points.
