In the South-Zone Inter-State U-14 Tournament match between Puducherry and Andhra Pradesh, at MVGR College Ground, Vizianagaram, it was an easy walk for Andhra Pradesh, who won the match by a huge first innings lead of 201 runs. Having won the toss, Andhra Pradesh chose to bat and amassed a mammoth total of 367 for 2 declared off 81.2 overs, with a matchless contribution by the opener S.K.Khaza Mohiddin, who remained unbeaten on 177 with 18 fours, compiled in 326 minutes off 257 balls, who was well supported by M.Abhinav (66 off 81 balls) and the skipper S.V.Rahul with an unbeaten 100 off 135 balls with 9 fours.
In reply, Puducherry lost the openers cheaply and was struggling at 29 for 2 in the fourteenth over and by the time Kushwanth Silora (40 off 78 balls with 9 fours) and Mukesh (45 off 139 balls with 5 fours) showed some resistance, it was all over as Mukesh lost his wicket when the score was 155 for 6 off 75.1 overs and the formalities were completed when Puducherry could muster only 166 for 8 off 90 overs, conceding a huge lead of 201 runs. For Andhra Pradesh, Sai Sravan took 3 for 64 off 35 overs and Varun Satwik took 2 for 35.
