Siechem Pondicherry T20 Tournament: Tuskers XI vs Lions XI (Siechem Cricket Stadium, Match 3)
Pondicherry, 12 Oct’20 (02.30 PM):
Batting first, Tuskers XI opener Neyan Kangayan and the no.3 batsman Paras Ratna Parkhe took the opponent bowlers to the task and unleashed array of strokes to win the match against Lions XI. Neyan Kangayan scored a brilliant 86 off 62 balls (6 sixes and 5 fours) in the company of Paras Ratnaparkhe, scoring 58 off 49 balls (2 sixes and 4 fours) to take Tuskers XI to 154 for 4 off 20 overs.
Chasing a target of 155 for a win, Lions XI openers S.Karthik and Ayyanar kept the momentum with free flow of strokes to notch up the first century partnership of the tournament in the twelfth over. Karthik scored a brilliant 65 off 53 balls (9 fours), who was well supported by Ayyanar scoring 52 off 35 balls (4 sixes and 4 fours). However, Lions XI fell short by four runs and Tuskers XI won by four runs. Neyan Kangayan was declared “Man of the Match”.
