Matching stroke for a stroke, Tigers XI openers Ragupathy and Yash Jadhav set a new high with an opening partnership of 140 runs in the Pondicherry T20 tournament. Playing first, Panthers XI lost opener Ajay Dahiya for 1 in the second over. However, skipper Rohit and Ameer Zeeshan steadied the ship with a 112 run partnership for the second wicket. Opener Rohit scored a free flow 65 off 51 balls (4 sixes and 6 fours) and the no.3 batsman Ameer Zeeshan powered his inning to score 83 off 52 balls (5 sixes and 5 fours) to take the Panthers XI to 195 for 4 off 20 overs. In reply, Tigers XI opener Ragupathy and Yash Jadhav set a new high with an opening partnership of 140 runs. Raupathy was declared “Man of the Match” for his knock of 83 n.o. off 52 balls (5 sixes and 5 fours) with brilliant support from Yash Jadhav scoring 73 off 37 balls (4 sixes and 9 fours). Anand Subramanian chipped in with a score of 29 off 17 balls with 3 sixes and 1 four). Tigers XI finished with a score of 198 for 3 off 19.4 overs to win the match by 7 wickets.
