Vijay Hazare Trophy 2019-20 : CAP Vs Sikkim (Tanush Academy Ground)

The mighty Pondicherry bowlers simply ran through the Sikkim batting line up in the Vijay Hazare Trophy match played at Tanush Academy Ground, Dehradun. Choosing the bat first, Sikkim was in no comfort against the robust attack of Pondicherry as the wickets were falling with absolutely no one to stem the rot and were all out for 112 off 36.3 overs.
Ashith’s Six Wicket Haul:
After the dismissal of Sikkim opener Bibek for 12 by Sagar Updeshi, like a hot knife piercing through the butter, Ashith ran through the opponent’s batting line up to return with the impressive figures of 10 overs, 37 runs and 6 wickets with a solitary maiden over. At the other end Sagar Updeshi displayed his consistency with 3 for 7 off 6.3 overs with 2 maidens.
Pondicherry Openers on the Rampage:
With a small target of 113 to win, Pondicherry openers Paras Dogra and K.B.Arun Karthick were on the rampage and particularly Paras Dogra scored at a lightning speed to remain 70 not out off just 41 balls with 10 fours and two sixes while his partner K.B.Arun Karthick also showed he is no less when it comes to lusty hitting to remain 40 not out off 29 balls with five fours and two sixes, to take Pondicherry to 116 for no loss off 11.4 overs with an awesome run rate of 9.94 to finish the match in style.
