Lions XI batsmen Akash Kargave played a quickfire innings with a score of 91 off 43 balls (5 sixes, 10 ours) in the company of S.Karthik, who scored 61 off 45 balls with eight fours to take the team to post 198 for 3 off 20 overs. Chasing 199 for a win, Bulls XI started disastrously losing two early wickets. Some resistance was put by Arvind Raj, who scored 47 of 38 balls, and A.S.Govindarajan scoring unbeaten 51 off 50 balls, but the rest of the batsmen could not put up any resistance. Eventually, Lions XI resisted Bulls XI to 146 for 8 to win the match by 52 runs.
