The quick fire 38 off 29 balls by Shreeraj Gharat and faster than that 33 off 16 balls by Thennavan led Lions XI to post 168 for 7. Chasing a target of 169, Tuskers XI, subdued by Lions bowlers, was restricted to 134 for 9. Lions won by 34 runs. Lions batsman Thennavan was declared man of the match for his knock of 33 (4 fours and 2 sixes) off 16 balls.
