It was a good toss to win and choose to bat first as done by Puducherry against Sikkim in the Senior Womens T-20 League, played at Palmyra Cricket Ground. With a very sound opening partnership of 94 between the openers Lathika Kumari, who scored a fluent and quick fire 63 off 40 balls in the company of Gouher (30 off 27 balls) set the sailing easy for the rest to carry on. Skipper Anagha scored 25 off 22 balls and with a little support from Janaki (13 off 18 balls) Puducherry posted 164 for 8 in 20 overs. Sandhya Kumari took 3 for 24 off 4 overs.
In the chase, though the openers put on 33 runs for the first wicket, with only Apurva Bhardwaj scoring a valuable 45 off 61 balls, with no support for her from the other end, Mizoram was restricted to 81 for 8 off 20 overs. Puducherry won the match by 83 runs and gained 4 points. Ashtalakshmi took 4 for 9 off 4 overs.
