Batting first, Sharks XI put on 130 for 8 off twenty overs, thanks to the contributions from Nipun Gaikwad (48 off 45 balls, 5 fours) and Arjun Shetty (42 off 41 balls 2 sixes, 4 fours). Lions XI bowler K.Vignesh returned with 3 for 21.
Chasing a target of 131, except S.Karthik, who scored 46 off 41 balls (5 fours), there was a total batting collapse and Lions XI was all out for 128 and lost the match by two runs. Sharks XI bowlers Madhan and Jasvanth took three wickets each while Chiranjeevi took two wickets and Madhan was declared “Man of the Match”.
