Taking the option of batting first proved on the negative for Nagaland as they were bundled out for 145 in the first innings by Pondicherry in the Col.C.K.Nayudu Trophy match played at Golaghat DSA Ground, Golaghat.

Sidak Singh and Satish Janghir too hot for Nagaland
Sidak Singh pierced through the Nagland batting with yet another rich haul of 6 for 28 with the support of Satish Janghir, who returned with 4 for 44.

Paras Ratnaparkhe sparkles with century
With a good opening partnership of 53 when Yash Jadhav was dismissed for 14, Pondicherry was in no worry to play with free mind set when Paras Ratnaparkhe joined the other opener Akash Kargave, who scored 45 off 62 balls, took the score to 81 for 2 when the latter was out. With the fall of fourth wicket when Sidak Singh was out for 17 and the score board showing 173 for 4, the no.6 batsman Manikandan joined Paras Ratnaparkhe and built a partnership of 117 runs for the fifth wicket. Manikandan scored a very useful 51 off 79 balls. However, with the support of the tail, Paras Ratnaparkhe went on from strength to strength and took the team beyond safety to have go for an innings victory when he was out for 159 off 172 balls with 27 boundaries. Pondicherry was all out for 386 with a first innings lead of 241 runs.

Again for the second time in the match, Sidak Singh pierced through the batting line up of Nagaland with lethal attack to return with yet another haul of 6 for 50 to take his tally to 12 wickets in the match; with a good support from Akash Kargave, who returned with 3 for 10, to take Pondicherry to a comfortable victory by an innings and 95 runs to gain 7 points.
