Batting first, Lions XI opener Ayyanar (44 not out off 59 balls) was the lone fighter when the wickets were tumbling like a pack of cards, at the other end to put only 108 for 8 off 20 overs. In reply, with contributions from Ragupathy (22 off 15 balls), Premraj (44 off 45 balls) and Anand Subramanian 31 off 40 balls) Tigers XI (109/5 off 18 overs) won the match comfortably by five wickets.
