Cooch Behar Trophy 2019-20 : Pondicherry Vs Mizoram (SERSA Stadium)

Centuries by Aryan Bangar and Shreeraj and the fourteen wicket haul of Arbaaz Uddin in the match against Mizoram in the Cooch Behar Trophy, played at Kharagpur, led Pondicherry to commanding victory by an innings and 95 runs.
Choosing to bat first, Mizoram had a disastrous start with the loss of two quick wickets for just two runs on the board. However, there was a good recovery and partnership of 55 runs for the third wicket and a valuable partnership of 87 runs for the sixth wicket between Thankuma (58 off 162 balls) and Nunfela (43 off 127 balls) and after the fall of sixth wicket, there was no resistance and Mizoram was all out for 167.
Arbaaz Uddin too hot for Mizoram
With some little resistance from Mizoram middle order, Arbaaz Uddin marched into the opponent’s camp and made havoc with his ferocious attack and bagged eight wickets to return with the figures of 25-9-39-8.
Aryan Bangar and Shreeraj show the maturity
The patience that was showed by Aryan Bangar and skipper Shreeraj was a noteworthy matter as both scored without any hurry to take Pondicherry to a comfortable position with a partnership of 211 runs between when Aryan Bangar was out for 119 off 251 balls, containing fourteen fours and one six. Shreeraj went on to pile up his score 147 off 199 balls with 23 fours and one six. Pondicherry was all out for 414 with a first innings lead of 247 runs.
Arbaaz Uddin continues his ferrocious attack
Not satisfied with the eight wicket haul in the first innings, Arbaaz Uddin ran through the opponent to return with figures of 22-6-53-6 in the second innings of Mizoram to dismiss them for 152 and to take his total tally to 14 wickets just conceding 93 runs in the match. Pondicherry won the match by an innings and 95 runs to gain 7 points.
