In the learning process, Puducherry Girls finds it tough to set a target

In the third match of South-Zone Inter-State Under-16 Girls’ Cricket Tournament, the host Puducherry found it difficult to set a target. Having won the toss, Puducherry chose to bat first and it started with the first ball dismissal of opener Lavanya for naught. Then there was a brief partnership of 25 runs for the second wicket between Yuvashri (16 off 30 balls with one four) and Roshini Rajasekaran. After the fall of Yuvashri, it was a free run for Kerala bowlers as six batsmen were dismissed without scoring. For Kerala, 3 for 3 off 0.5 overs and Najila took 2 for 3 off 3 overs. Puducherry was all out for 40 in 17.5 overs.

Set a small target of 41 for a win, Kerala openers were in all comfort and sailed through comfortably to score 44 for 1 off 7.2 overs to win the match by 9 wickets with 17.4 overs to spare.
