Women’s U-19 One Day Trophy 2019-20 : Pondicherry Vs Manipur (KORM College Ground)

Beginning parallel to their seniors, Pondicherry U-19 women team also played against the same opponent Manipur in the Women’s U-18 One Day Trophy 2019-20 match, played at KORM College Ground, Kadappa.
Having chosen to bat first, Manipur lost their opener Ronibala Thokchom for naught when Tanishka Sen dismissed her with only two runs on the board in the first over. Thus, the flood gates were opened and Tanushka Sen, Aarti Gautam and Amruta Saran ran through the Manipur line up. With the only exception of opener Kalpana, who scored 25 off 75 balls, the rest of Manipur surrendered meekly and was bundled for 49 all out off 27.2 overs. Tanushka Sen returned with 3 for 15, while Aarti Gautam and Amruta Saran took two wickets each.
With a small target of 50 for a win, though Pondicherry lost opener Yuvashri early, Nitya (12 off 21 balls) and Roshini (19 off 24 balls) took the team to safety as Pondicherry reached 51 for 2 off 9.2 overs to win by eight wickets.
